Start by flattening chicken breast to ensure even cooking, then coat it in a flavorful marinade of gochujang, sriracha, garlic, ginger, and sesame. For that signature crunch, dredge the marinated chicken in crushed cornflakes before air frying to golden perfection. It is a delicious, high-protein meal that delivers on taste without the guilt.

Korean Air Fried Chicken

Method

  1. Place plastic wrap on a flat surface, then butterfly the chicken breast, cover it with plastic wrap, and flatten it with a mallet or rolling pin.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine gochujang paste, chili flakes, freshly chopped garlic, fresh ginger paste, toasted sesame seeds, fish sauce, Chinese rice vinegar, a splash of hot water, and sriracha sauce.
  3. Thoroughly coat the flattened chicken breast in the prepared marinade.
  4. Crush cornflakes by hand in a separate bowl.
  5. Place baking paper inside the air fryer basket.
  6. Coat both sides of the marinated chicken breast in the crushed cornflakes.
  7. Place the coated chicken onto the baking paper in the air fryer and spray generously with oil spray.
  8. Air fry at 190°C for 15 to 20 minutes until cooked through and crispy.
