Beef Orzo Pasta

1:249 Oct 2026@annilravin

Rich, comforting, and packed with savory depth, Chef Annil whips up a hearty one-wok beef orzo pasta. Ground beef is browned to achieve a smoky char before simmering gently in a rich tomato sauce seasoned with aromatic cinnamon, Cajun spices, and grass-fed beef bone broth. The dry orzo cooks directly in the flavorful sauce, absorbing every drop of broth and tomato goodness until tender and saucy, finished with a fresh crumble of cheese on top.

Ingredients

Method

  1. Heat a large non-stick wok over medium heat without adding any cooking oil.
  2. Pinch small portions of minced beef directly into the wok, add one bay leaf, and sauté until nicely browned and charred. Remove the beef and set aside.
  3. In the same wok using residual beef fat, sauté the chopped onions and minced garlic until fragrant.
  4. Pour in the tomato sauce, rinse out the jar with a little water, and add it into the sauce.
  5. Add cinnamon powder, Cajun seasoning, and black pepper, stirring well.
  6. Pour in the beef bone broth and return the cooked minced beef to the wok.
  7. Once the mixture comes to a boil, stir in the dry orzo pasta.
  8. Simmer, stirring occasionally, until the pasta is tender and has absorbed the sauce into a thick, glossy consistency.
  9. Dish out into a bowl and garnish with crumbled cheese to serve.
