Air Fryer Salmon Bites with Bang Bang Sauce

1:3529 Sept 2026@annilravin

Crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, these air-fried salmon bites are seasoned with an aromatic barbecue and steak spice blend before being cooked to golden perfection. Paired with a healthier homemade bang bang sauce made with Greek yogurt, sweet chili, and spicy sriracha, alongside quick butter-sautéed asparagus, this dish is a quick, balanced, and flavorful meal ready in under twenty minutes.

Air Fryer Salmon Bites with Bang Bang Sauce

Ingredients

Method

  1. Cut fresh salmon fillets into bite-sized cubes and transfer them to a mixing bowl.
  2. Season the salmon generously with American BBQ seasoning, garlic salt, lemon pepper, and BBQ spices.
  3. Add 1 tablespoon of cornstarch and a splash of low-sodium soy sauce. Mix and massage thoroughly to coat every piece evenly.
  4. Place the marinated salmon cubes into the air fryer basket and cook at 200°C for approximately 15 minutes until golden and crispy.
  5. Prepare the bang bang sauce by whisking together Greek yogurt, sweet Thai chili sauce, and sriracha until smooth (add mayonnaise if a richer sauce is desired).
  6. In a hot wok or pan, melt a knob of butter and add the asparagus. Season with salt and pepper, sauté briefly, then add a splash of water to steam until tender-crisp.
  7. Plate the sautéed asparagus, top with the air-fried salmon bites, and drizzle generously with the prepared bang bang sauce before serving.
